8 November 2023 Could you improve Lambeth’s housing and Lambeth London Living?

Lambeth London Living, which manages over 33,000 homes in the borough, is currently seeking nominations for three directors to be elected onto its board. The arms length management organisation (ALMO) is seeking a tenant board member for Clapham, a tenant board member for North Lambeth and a leaseholder board member.

Lambeth London Living is made up of 16 board directors - eight tenant and leaseholder representatives, four council nominees and four independent members.

The board’s central role is to direct and control the work of Lambeth London Living. Board directors are expected to add value to Lambeth London Living with experience, expertise and insight and determine the ALMO’s strategy and direction in the interests of residents.

Chair of Lambeth London Living Keith Hill said: “Changes to regulation and funding of social housing mean that the role of board members – and the value that they can add in inner boroughs such as Lambeth – is more important than ever.”

“If you think you’ve got what it takes, we’d be interested in hearing from you.”

We will be arranging a briefing session for all interested candidates on Monday, 15 November 2023 where you will have an insight of what the board does. Our consultant, PPCR Associates will be on hand to assist you with your applications and personal statements

For an application pack, please contact Akin Akinyemi on 0207 926 8319 or Kamla Peerbocuss on 0207 926 0376 or board@lambethliving.org.uk

The deadline for receiving applications is 22 November 2010. A postal ballot will be held with results declared in 17 December 2010.

Successful candidates will be required to attend board meetings, serve on committees, scrutinise the ALMO’s performance and help set the direction of the company in driving up its performance and reputation

Lambeth London Living will conduct checks on all board director nominations to ensure eligibility. All Lambeth London Living board directors are volunteers.
