Paying service charges

You can pay service charges each year or each month for the following year or month.

Your payments are due on:

  • 1 April if you choose to pay annually
  • the first day of each month if you choose to pay monthly.

Ways to pay:

There are lots of ways you can pay your service charge:

By standing order

You can pay your service charge by standing order through your bank. You can get a standing order form by calling Home ownership services.

You should fill in, sign and send the form to your bank with instructions that payment reaches your service charge account by the first day of each month. If you have online or telephone banking, or your bank has provided a blank standing order form, you can set up a standing order using the following details:

Bank to receive payment: NatWest Bank, Head Office, Collection Account

Account to be credited: London Borough of Lambeth

Sort Code: 57-64-69

Account no: 00000000

You must quote your nine-digit service charge account number as a reference to ensure your payment is credited to your account.

Payment line

You can contact the collections team by calling Home ownership services on 020 7926 6700 or the 24-hour automated payment line (020 8290 2086 – choose option five) to pay with your credit or debit card.

Make sure you make a note of the reference number that you will be given - this will be your receipt.

By cheque

Cheques should be made payable to ‘London Borough of Lambeth’. Do not send cheques made payable to Lambeth London Living Limited.

Please write your address and nine-digit service charge account number on the back of the cheque.

If you need a receipt for postal payments, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your payment. Please do not send cash through the post.

By swipe card

If you cannot pay in any of these ways, you should contact your housing office or contact Home ownership services on 020 7926 6700 to order a swipe card.

 When you receive your swipe card you can pay your service charge by PayPoint logopresenting your card together with your payment at any Post Office (Post Offices will accept cheques) or high street shop or retailer displaying the PayPoint 'PP' sign. You will be given a receipt for your payment.
