Lambeth Poly Volunteer researcher

Lambeth Poly is a polytunnell based on Tulse Hill estate. It began in July 2012 as a prototype project where residents grew salad leaves to sell to a local restaurant and vegetable box scheme. Crops were produced in the polytunnel right up to mid-December last year, showing how growing under polythene increases production. Lambeth Poly won Capital Growth’s ‘Growing for Gold’ capital-wide Enterprise Award.

Now the project is scaling up and needs a volunteer researcher to help it grow – this could be you!

What it involves: The role includes ordering materials, researching, updating blog and social media, and taking minutes at monthly meeting. This is a role that can grow with the Lambeth Poly as it develops as a business.

When: You would need to commit to 3 hours a week.

Where: The Lambeth Poly is based on Tulse Hill estate, opposite the Lambeth London Living Central Housing Office (SW2 2HB).

How to apply: To find out more and apply for the position, contact Fiona on 079 7106 5821, or email, or follow on Twitter @lambethpoly. You can also visit the tunnel on Thursday 2 May or Saturday 11 May, from 11am to 2pm to find out more.

Fiona, the designer and co-ordinator of the project is a fully qualified and experienced trainer of adults, and has worked in community education.
