Cost and benefits

The Blue Badge is a parking permit for people with disabilities. It costs £10 and allows you to park:

  • for up to three hours on yellow lines where there are no loading restrictions, providing the clock card is displayed and set to your time of arrival
  • in resident bays, and pay and display bays for an unlimited time
  • in bays marked "disabled" for an unlimited time
  • free of charge in any parking bay within Lambeth Council operated car parks subject to the time limits that apply to the car park.

Displaying your Blue Badge

You must display your Blue disabled parking badge on the dashboard of your car, face upwards showing the wheelchair symbol when using a disabled parking bay on our estates.

If you park in a normal parking bay, you do not need to display your Blue Badge.

Permits for carers

If you are a carer you can apply for a free estate permit; one free permit is allowed per eligible household. 

To be eligible for a free permit you will need to provide a letter from the mobility company naming you as the carer.
